When will the migration from StrongLink to Versity take place?#
We plan to migrate in CW27. StrongLink will be put into a read-only mode already on Friday, 19 June, and access will be turned off on Friday, 26 June. Thus, from 26. June to 05. July the DKRZ Tape Archive will not be available to users.
What does the migration mean for me?#
You cannot access your archived data while the migration takes place.
The paths under which your data are stored in the tape archive will not
change. The tools slk, slk_helpers and pyslk will not be
available after the migration. Please have a look into our Getting
Started pages for details on the new commands.
What do I need to do?#
If you have scripted archival and retrieval workflows, please replace
the calls of slk / slk_helpers / pyslk by the respective
alternatives as described on our Getting Started pages.
The paths of your files remain unchanged.
What can I do when I need to archive a lot of data in CW26 and CW27?#
